United Blood Services-Louisiana is seeking an experienced, results-oriented individual to provide blood center technical oversight for state and lab management. Successful candidate oversees blood center manufacturing & technical process to assure center-wide compliance with manufacturing & regulations.

Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science & certification as a Medical Technologist by a recognized certifying agency required. BB or SBB preferred. LA State licensure required. Five years laboratory experience & three years supervisory experience required. Previous blood bank or blood center experience preferred. United Blood Services, Lubbock, TX—Laboratory Supervisor

This position is responsible for coordinating daily technical operations and supervising the component lab staff. This position is also responsible for testing in the reference lab and rotating call for special unit orders.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in a chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required.

Experience
- One year of Laboratory experience required.

License/Certifications
- Certification as a Medical Technologist or CLIA equivalent for high complexity testing required.
- BB or SBB and two years of supervisory experience preferred
