It is the mission of the South Central Association of Blood Banks to provide opportunities for members to enhance their abilities to deliver quality blood services.

PROTÉGÉ MENTORSHIP PROGRAM MISSION

In support of the association mission, the Protégé Mentorship Program will provide a unique, interactive educational opportunity and will foster a passion for Transfusion Medicine as a long-term career.

PROTÉGÉ MENTORSHIP PROGRAM GOALS

Protégé Goals
1. Advance professional career
2. Gain access to association network
3. Learn new skills
4. Gain maximum benefit from association membership

Mentor Goals
1. Build mentoring skills
2. Increase network of professional relationships
3. Increase association involvement
4. Gain satisfaction from sharing knowledge and skills with another

Association Goals
1. Attract new members
2. Increase member retention
3. Increase Annual Meeting attendance
4. Strengthen networking alliance
5. Improve the variety and number of workshops, abstracts, Pulse articles
6. Identify Rising Star Award Nominees
7. Increase committee participation
8. Groom strong candidates in support of leadership succession plan

PROTÉGÉ MENTOR TEAM OBJECTIVES
1. Annual Meeting Orientation and Support
2. Minimum of One Contact Per Quarter
3. Complete One Protégé Project Per Quarter
4. Quarterly Activity Report to Protégé Task Force
