The South Central Association of Blood Banks Foundation was established for the sole purpose of enhancing the educational goals of South Central Association of Blood Banks. In delivering on that purpose, the SCABB Foundation provides financial support to the Association in the form of annual meeting scholarships, speaker honorariums and other program supplementation.

Foundation Economic Hardship Scholarship The Foundation Economic Hardship Scholarship is awarded to members in good standing on an as needed basis. Individual members or those employed by an institutional member may request funds to be applied toward costs associated with attendance at the SCABB Annual Meeting. Selection is based on individual explanation of need, professional and educational objectives for attending the meeting, and a statement of support for attendance by the individual’s employer. This scholarship is funded by the South Central Association of Blood Banks Foundation. All applications will be reviewed and considered for funding based on the guidelines until the allocated funds are exhausted.
APPLY FOR SCHOLARSHIP
The Foundation provides a scholarship of $750.00 to four SCABB member Institutions annually. The Institutions awarded the scholarship are drawn at random during the SCABB Summer Board of Directors meeting. The award is to be used toward expenses associated with attending the following years Annual Meeting and may be split between two or more of their personnel to attend.
